Annual closing

# Annual closing without the drama

For many companies March starts with panic and ends with a surprise bill from the accountant. With us the year closes itself, because everything is already booked.

1

We

### The year closes itself

Invoices, expenses and filings are booked all year round. Closing is not a March sprint but a final check of something already done.

2

We

### We assemble the reports

Balance sheet, income statement, the statistics forms and the annual tax return. Everything is compiled from data already in the system.

3

You

### You review and approve

We show you in plain language what the profit is, what the tax is, and what you can distribute as dividend. You approve with one click.

4

We

### We file and publish

The return goes to the tax authority, the report to the statistics institute, and the financial statements are published in the Commercial Register. All on time, signed by a certified accountant.

5

Together

### We look ahead

You get a short summary of the year and what to expect next: advance tax instalments, dividends, optimization ideas. No accounting jargon.

Dormant company?

### No activity? Even simpler.

If your company did not trade this year, you do not need an accounting marathon. That is why the Dormant plan costs as much as two coffee subscriptions:

- We check whether a no-activity declaration is due and file it when required
- No statements publication and no needless fees
- We watch the deadlines and notify you when something is filed. If the company is VAT-registered, some periodic duties remain
- Wake the company up and switch plans in minutes

A dormant company should not cost as much as a working one. Period.

### The calendar you no longer memorize

- By 30 June: annual tax return and tax payment
- Along with it: the annual activity report to the statistics institute
- By 30 September: financial statements published in the Commercial Register
- Dormant company: a no-activity declaration when due (by law usually once, for the first year without activity)

We watch the deadlines. You get a notification when something is filed.

### Included in the subscription

- Preparation of the full annual financial statements
- The annual tax return
- The statistics institute report
- Filing and publishing wherever required

No extra “closing fee” of the kind traditionally charged every spring.

## Questions about the annual closing

### When is the annual corporate tax return due?

By 30 June of the following year, together with paying the tax. The annual activity report to the statistics institute (NSI) is due at the same time. With FreeMe.bg we track the deadlines and prepare and file the return, and you get a notification when it has been filed.

### When do the annual financial statements have to be published?

By 30 September of the year after the reporting year, in the Commercial Register. The annual financial statements are not a tax return and do not go to the NRA, and since 1 January 2022 no state fee is due for publishing them. Preparing and publishing them is included in your subscription.

### Do I pay a separate fee for the annual closing?

No. The annual financial statements, the annual tax return, the statistics report and the filing and publishing are included in your subscription. There is no extra “closing fee” of the kind traditionally charged every spring. The closing is a final check of books that were kept up to date all year.

### What does a dormant company have to file?

A company with no activity at all usually owes a no-activity declaration to the Commercial Register (Art. 38(9)(2) of the Accounting Act), by 30 June. Under the current rule it is filed once, for the first year without activity. If the company is VAT-registered, the monthly returns remain. The Dormant company plan covers all mandatory filings and actions for a company with no activity.

### Will I see how much tax I owe before the return is filed?

Yes. Before filing we show you in plain language what the profit is, what the tax is and what you can distribute as dividend, and you approve with one click. Afterwards you get a short summary of the year and what to expect in the next one, such as advance tax instalments and dividends.

### What do I have to do before the annual closing?

The manager confirms in the app that you have given us all documents and data: this is the completeness declaration. Without it we do not sign the annual financial statements. A valid power of attorney before the NRA is also needed, and after that you only review and approve the reports.
