Expenses by photo

You snap. We do the books.

No binders, no “for the accountant” folders, no lost receipts. Your phone is the entire paperwork flow.

1
You

Snap or forward

A store receipt? Photo from your phone. An invoice in your inbox? Forward it to your company’s FreeMe email address. PDF, photo or scan, anything works.

2
We

We read the document

The system recognizes the supplier, company ID, date, amount and VAT, and suggests an expense category. The more you use it, the better it knows your habits.

3
You

Confirm at a glance

You see what we extracted and confirm with one tap. Something off? Fix the field on the spot.

4
We

We book it, check it and keep it

The expense is booked and an accountant checks it before it reaches your filings, and the document stays in a tidy archive, ready for any inspection. Nothing gets lost.

No panic

What if the photo is bad?

A blurry receipt, a faded thermal strip, or an expense with no document at hand? There is always a manual option:

  • Enter the expense by hand in a minute, same fields
  • Every extracted field can be edited later too
  • A doubtful case? A real accountant reviews it
  • Faded receipt? Snap it right away: paper loses its ink, the archive does not

The rule is simple: if the expense exists, there is a way to get it into FreeMe.bg.

What you can snap

  • A store receipt
  • A supplier invoice
  • A fee or rent payment slip
  • A courier or transport document

Not sure it is a business expense? Snap it and we will tell you.

  • Correctly documented and legally recognised expenses can reduce taxable profit; our accountants check the applicable rules

Questions about expenses

How do I add an expense in FreeMe.bg?

Snap the receipt with your phone or forward the invoice to your company's FreeMe.bg email address. A PDF, photo or scan all work. The system recognizes the supplier, company ID, date, amount and VAT and suggests a category, and you confirm with one tap.

What if the photo of my receipt is blurry?

Enter the expense by hand in a minute, with the same fields. You can edit any extracted field later too, and a real accountant reviews doubtful cases. Tip: photograph thermal receipts right away, because the paper fades but the archive does not.

Is a till receipt enough to claim an expense?

Usually not. To book a company expense, and especially to deduct VAT, you need an invoice made out to your company with its EIK. Ask for it when you pay. Not sure whether something is a business expense? Snap it and we will tell you.

Which expenses does the Bulgarian tax authority accept?

The tax authority accepts an expense when two conditions are met at once: it is connected to the business and properly documented, with an invoice made out to the company and its EIK (Art. 10 of the Corporate Income Tax Act). Correctly documented expenses can reduce taxable profit, and our accountants check the applicable rules.

Does anyone check the expenses the system reads?

Yes. Every expense is booked and an accountant checks it before it reaches your filings. The AI only reads the document and suggests an entry; the accountant checks it. The document stays in a tidy archive, ready for any inspection.

What happens if I upload the same invoice twice?

Nothing bad. FreeMe.bg detects duplicates automatically, and an accountant reviews every incoming document. So feel free to forward invoices as soon as they arrive, instead of collecting them for the end of the month.
